BIS Recruitment 2013 – Apply online for 198 LDC & Technical Asst posts (Last Date: 27/4/2013)

Vacancy Details
198 seats are available for the posts of Assistant, Jr Stenographer, Technical Assistants, LDC and Translator. Desiring candidates need to submit their online applications by 17th April, 2013. There are seventeen posts for Assistants, two posts for Hindi Junior Translator, forty six posts for Lower Division Clerk, twenty one posts for Junior Stenographer, fifteen posts for Stenographer, thirty three posts for Chemical Technical Lab Assistant, thirty five posts for Mechanical Technical Lab Assistant, twenty posts for Electrical Technical Lab Assistant and seven posts for Technical Lab Assistants in the field of Microbiology.
  
Eligibility Details
Candidates below eighteen years of age are not eligible for the post. Candidates above thirty years of age are also not eligible. Applicants should by between 18-30 years of age for the posts of Assistant and Stenographer.
  
Age limit for the post of Junior Translator Hindi, Lower Division Clerk, Junior Stenographer, Chemical Technical Lab Assistant, Mechanical Technical Lab Assistant, Electrical Technical Lab Assistant and Microbiology Technical Assistant is from eighteen to twenty seven years.
  
Relaxation in age is the prerogative of the government.
  
For the post of Assistant the candidate should hold a degree in Hindi or English MA. For the post of Junior Translator Hindi the candidate should at least have studied Hindi/English at Degree level. Those applying for Lower Division Clerk’s post should hold a diploma or certificate in Computer. Their typing speed in English should be 30 words per minute and in Hindi they should be able to type out 25 words per minute. A Stenographer should be able to type out 100 words per minute and should have given a test in Shorthand in either of the two languages i.e. Hindi/English. A graduation degree is also a must for this post. Those who have done chemistry at degree level of Science Course they can apply for the post of Technical Lab Assistant. For the other posts a degree in Electrical or Agricultural Engineering is a must.
 
Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates have to undergo a written test followed by an interview.

A person should have thorough knowledge of his graduation subjects. A test followed by an interview will decide upon the eligibility of the candidate.
  
How to apply
A person should have a valid email account for applying online. A signed photograph of the candidate should be scanned and uploaded. Logging to www.bis.org.in is possible from 27th April, 2013 to 17th April, 2013. On the webpage one need to go to Recruitment Advt/Result section and click on the option. A form has to be filled and submitted at this place. A Bank Challan is made available to the candidates. The candidates are required to deposit some amount of money on the basis of this Challan. Within 48 years the site will let you know as to whether the money transaction has been successful or not. An email is sent as confirmation of receiving uploaded photo and deposited fee
