Job Description: 
The Pharmacist / Sr. Pharmacist is responsible for the following:
• Dispensing the drugs as per prescription / Indents
• Raising the Pharmacy Requisition slips as per requirements
• Receive the stock from Stores and check against the Issue Slips, for quantity, batch
no, expiry etc.
• Doing physical verification of stocks with computer data daily
• Taking the stock of short-expiry medicines once a month
• Taking the stock of non-moving medicines once in 6 months
• Building customer relationship for effective service towards total patient care

OP Pharmacy 
• Receive the prescriptions from the patients/customers.
• Go through the prescriptions carefully.
• If in doubt, check with the referral doctor.
• If the prescribed drug is not available, arrange for the same through stores /
distributors. If any particular brand is not available inform the doctor about the
substitute and get the consent for the same.
• In case of narcotic drugs, ensure that the prescription is duly signed by the referral
doctor with registration number rubber stamped, and is current dated.
• Clarify the quantity required and the dosage with the patients.
• Prepare the bill for the quantity required and inform the patient / customer about the
bill amount.
• Generate the bill in duplicate. • Take the medicines from the respective racks in accordance with the bill and the
doctor’s prescription.
• Check the medicines physically for batch no, expiry, quantity with the bill and
prescription and approved by the pharmacist.
• Pack the medicines along with the prescription and the original bill. If patient prefers,
counseling on dosage and regimen.

IP / CCU & OT Pharmacies

• Receive the indents / PMR ( manual) from the wards / OT online.
• If there are any doubts in the indents / PMR, check with the Nurse/Doctor
• Picking the medicines from respective racks as per Indents / PMR
• Cross checking the medicines with the indent / PMR and bill for batch, expiry and quantity.
• Pack the medicine and issue to dispatch section / to OT
• Online/ Manual return medicine slips are checked with the physical stock
received and accounted in the patient bill.

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) BE,BTech Results download on www.vtu.ac.in

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) will on Tuesday announce the results of BE and BTech seventh semester examinations for Belgaum and Gulbarga regions conducted in December/January last year.

Candidates can visit the university's website - http://results.vtu.ac.in - to get their results or can send an SMS in the format RESULT (space) USN (space) EMAIL ID to 5424204.

Application for photocopies and revaluation of answer sheets can be submitted without a fee from February 3-8. Those submitting applications after the cut-off date will have to pay Rs 500.

A detailed notification for revaluation is available on www.vtu.ac.in as well as in all colleges.

CBSE board admit cards free download online

Summary:The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared that admit cards for std X and XII board exams will be available online only. From this year, the board won't be sending a hard copy of the admit cards, in an effort to take more and more of the process online.

Admit cards can be downloaded by schools from January 27 and have to be attested by the school principal. Reena Dargan, principal of Ira International School said, "It is a good move and in line with the board's endeavour to move to a paperless system. If there are any errors in the admit card, students will have to bring it to the principal's notice, who will rectify it and attest that the changes have been done. For changes to be made in marksheet, the regional office will have to be informed."

Schools can download the list of candidates (LOC) from CBSE website from January 22 for std X, while for std XII the details are already available for download.

As the spotlight remains fixed on the issue of onsite hiring for IT firms, Wipro is planning ahead in cultivating teams of local business leaders with an Indian ethos. The company is scaling up its "India gateway" programme, through which it gives campus recruits from the UK, Europe, and Africa an opportunity to spend months at a time in its India campuses.

Launched last year, Wipro says the programme has been more successful than anticipated, and this year, over 100 employees across the world are expected to be working here.

"Going forward, the number of local hires abroad will only increase. Management also has to come from local talent more in the future. Keeping that in mind, we felt it was important to have locals immerse themselves in the culture of the company. Having them train here is a great way to do that," says Sourabh Govil, senior vice president - Human Resources, Wipro.

"We expect these trainees to make up the middle management rung in the near future, and then go on to take bigger leadership roles," he adds.

While a majority of the students have come for 3-6 month internships in technology and management from countries such as the UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, a large number has also been roped in from South Africa, with almost 30 local students undergoing the program for three months.

Wipro says it is unsure of how many such interns it will take on board next year, but numbers are expected to surpass the 100 from this year.

Says Pratik Kumar, executive vice president, Human Resources, Wipro, "The anxiety that we had, in terms of visa issues, and interest level amongst students to come and work here, has been put to rest. The issues are much smaller than we had anticipated, students are showing a lot of interest, and we will definitely be recruiting for the program in larger numbers."

Google makes Rs 62 lakh offer to Kolkata student

Summary:Google makes Rs 62 lakh offer to Kolkata student

  The first international placement in the 82-year history of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, an M-Tech student has received an offer of $100,000 (Rs 62.7 lakh) from Google. "This is also the highest salary offered to any of our students till date," says Pradipta Bandyopadhyay, dean of students, ISI. The student who received the offer is a 24-year-old fresher pursuing his Master of Technology in Computer Science. Although the college was reluctant to disclose company's name, a placement team member said it was Google.

      "Last year, 43 companies came to our campus and the average was Rs 12 lakh. This year, the average should be around Rs 14 lakh (excluding the international offer) and we expect more than 50 firms," says a placement official who also added that the minimum salary offer accepted is around Rs 8 lakh for the 2014 batch.

     As for Google, this is not the search giant's first big-ticket recruitment this year. It has hired a student from NIT Warangal for Rs 84.6 lakh and Delhi Technological University for Rs 93 lakh.

       Companies that have visited the ISI campus this year include ICICI, HSBC, Morgan Stanley and Microsoft. Global retailer Walmart will be a first timer and is expected to hire students for its analytics wing for a salary of Rs 15 lakh from the statistical department of ISI.

     Last year Microsoft, Google, Facebook and Samsung hired students from IITs with salaries ranging from $120,000 to $150,000 for positions based primarily out of the US and Korea, for both their graduates and post-graduate programmes

What is the selection process for WASE?

The WASE selection process will be done of three stages they are

What is the venue for the examination?
       WASE is a completely flexible examination. You have the choice to choose your venue, time and date of examination. We will send you a mail with a link to a web page where you can schedule the examination yourself. Please remember this site will allocate the centre on a first come first served basis. The venue for the Wipro Entrance Test will be intimated to you by mail after you schedule the examination.

How will the test be conducted?
        The test will be conducted completely online (internet based). All arrangements will be carried out at the test venue for you to give the test online. Detailed instructions for the test will be informed to you by e mail.

Structure of the Wipro Entrance Test:
         The Question Paper will have three sections. Verbal, Analytical and Mathematics.
Verbal: This section will have questions on the lines of CAT and GMAT entrance examinations. It will include synonyms, antonyms, sentence structuring, grammar, paragraph comprehension, etc. Any guide books available for CAT and GMAT will assist you in the preparation of this section.
Analytical: As above
Mathematics: Questions will pertain to Trigonometry, Calculus, Differentiation, Algebra, Integration, Matrices and Coordinate Geometry. You will need to revise your 11th and 12th level mathematics to successfully attempt this section.

Who can Eligible for options?

  • Candidates who have secured seats but not interested to join.

3. The request for the re-allotment after Final phase i.e. for change of college or course once again will not be entertained under any circumstances.
4. If any candidate wishes to cancel his provisional allotment after final phase, they are advised to approach the Help Line Centres where they have deposited Certificates along with Original Receipt of Certificates on or before 05.10.2013.
5. Pending certificates like income certificate have to produce at respective Help Line centres before 05.10.2013.

1. Options given in the 1st Phase will not be considered for allotment and candidates have to exercise option afresh.

Wipro to hire 500 people in Nordic region
Wipro said it was planning to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region by adding 500 people over the next three years.
INDIA:Country's third largest software services firm Wipro said it was planning to strengthen its presence in the Nordic region by adding 500 people over the next three years.

According to sources, Wipro has about 500 people as part of its Nordic operations.

The company has also appointed Carl-Henrik Hallstrom as the regional head for Nordic region, Wipro said in a statement.

He will be based in Stockholm, Sweden and report to Rajat Mathur, chief sales and operations officer (growth markets) at Wipro.

In his previous role, Hallstrom was associated with KPMG, Sweden. He has also worked with EquaTerra (which was acquired by KPMG later), Fujitsu Services, Daltek (publ) and Tandberg.

"Nordics is poised to become one of the more important growth markets for Wipro and we are committed to investing in the region. I am confident that Hallstrom will be able to build on the growth momentum in the region," Mathur said.

The European market contributed 29 per cent to the company's revenues in the April-June 2013 quarter. The company does not provide region-specific numbers.

Wipro's focus in the region will be on key verticals like telecom, manufacturing, and energy and utilities. wipro will hire freshers,experience candidates 500 peoples in the next quarter.
